I remember this day with great pleasure, I was one of the lucky ones, one of only 30% of visitors to Denali National park who actually get to see Mt McKinley without cloud cover! To add to that stunning scene, an alpine glow reflected the setting sun. Truly magnificent! Having enjoyed watching Caribou earlier that day, it seemed only fitting to add them to the scene. Everything is vast in Denali, so I accentuated that by painting the Caribou small and inconsequential.
