It was June 1st in Yellowstone National Park, the pack ice was still thick on Yellowstone River, and snow was in the air, hence the title.  I actually saw two adolescent grizzlies just around the corner from this scene, but decided on the Black bear for the subject matter as I liked the cooler colors of his blue-black coat.
