This adolescent cougar, which is still growing into those ears and losing her spots, is showing the classic curiosity of the cat, but the hesitant wariness of inexperienced youth. This scene may seem to be an unusual setting for a painting of a cougar, but many animals will often take the path of least resistance from hiking trails, to seldom used roads.
For the printing process we cropped the original image to focus on the cougar, allowing for a lot smaller print than the original.
